In a history marked by expansion and innovation, Rinaldi, a long-established tire and inner tube manufacturer headquartered in Bento Gonçalves, Rio Grande do Sul, has just taken another decisive step in its international journey: shipping its first container of products to the Philippines.
The operation marks the company’s entry into the Asian market, consolidating its presence in 31 countries and reinforcing its target of reaching 50 destinations by 2028. The initial projected volume is approximately 6,000 tires per year, equivalent to about US$ 150,000 in goods.
A strategy that continues to grow
After establishing itself in markets across Latin America, the United States and Europe, Rinaldi is now turning to Asia as part of its internationalization strategy. “The Philippines represents an important achievement, as it reinforces our goal of increasing exports as a share of net revenue from 12% to 20% by 2028”, says André Ricardo Fiorese, the company’s Export Manager.
The executive also highlights the strengthening of the company’s network of international partners as a result of initiatives such as the distributors’ convention recently held in Brazil.
Opportunities created by EICMA
According to Renan Vicari, Rinaldi’s Export Analyst, the company’s entry into the Asian market was driven by its participation in EICMA — the world’s largest motorcycle and accessories trade show, held in Milan. “We made excellent contacts that opened doors to this and other opportunities. The Philippines is strategically located near important markets such as China and Indonesia”, he explains.
Challenges and next steps
The Asian market is highly competitive, with dozens of brands competing for market share. For Rinaldi, the key lies in offering quality and performance combined with solid partnerships. In addition to Asia, the company’s next steps include expansion into the Middle East and Africa, while continuing to focus on expanding its portfolio of exported products.
With 56 years of history, Rinaldi seeks to reaffirm a position that combines tradition and boldness, betting strongly that this formula can take a local brand to markets around the world. On wheels.
