With his fourth championship, Roosevelt (FK Rinaldi Kawasaki) now has 13 titles in 35 years of Motocross. In MX2Jr, Kauã Vieira finished in the Top 5 and Pablo Galdinho ranked 9th. Fernanda Fabris (Team Zenni) finished in the Top 4 in MXF.
Team Rinaldi ended the 2026 season of the Brazilian Motocross Championship – MX1 GP Brazil in style. At the final, held last weekend in Brumadinho, Minas Gerais, Roosevelt Assunção #100 (FK Rinaldi Kawasaki) confirmed the MX4 title, adding another national trophy to his collection – now 13 in all – and celebrating a season marked by victories, podium finishes and improvement throughout the year.
The result represents Roosevelt’s fourth MX4 championship and further strengthens the career of one of the most accomplished names in Brazilian Motocross. The São Paulo native entered the final round as the category leader and celebrated the title with a victory in the 9th round. “The emotion of winning another title feels just like the first one. We fought all year long, we have our ups and downs, and it’s a daily battle. Winning a title is always rewarding and means a lot, as do the people by my side, the sponsors and the team. Without them, it would be much more difficult”, celebrated the multi-time champion, who is completing 35 years in Motocross and 30 years in the Brazilian Championship.
“I used the RS47 for much of the season, and it was an honor that Rinaldi also chose me to help develop the tire and valued my knowledge”, Roosevelt adds.
In the ninth and final round, Team Rinaldi secured more podium finishes. FK Rinaldi Kawasaki’s Peruvian rider Vasko Durand #79 took 3rd place on the MX2 podium in the Latin American Championship and finished 9th in the Brazilian Championship standings.
In Brumadinho, two Maggi KTM Team Zenni riders reached the podium: Fernanda Fabris #201 finished the MXF race in 3rd place, while Rio Grande do Sul native João Gabriel Wovst (Bolachinha) #70 secured 3rd place in MXJr.
The Paraná native reached the podium in every round and finished in the Top 4 in the women’s category. “It was a challenging and difficult season. Some new girls joined the category and they’re very fast, but at the same time that’s great because we push each other. We’ll now have six months to train and arrive better prepared for the 2027 season”, says Fernanda.
A season of growth and many podium finishes
The MX4 title was the highlight of a consistent season for Team Rinaldi, which competed in different categories with a lineup consisting of 11 FK Rinaldi Kawasaki riders and six Maggi KTM Team Zenni riders, both teams sponsored by the brand.
The team accumulated significant results throughout the championship. It should be noted that, in MX2JR, two riders finished the season among the nine fastest. Kauã Vieira #438 finished in the Top 5 and Pablo Galdino #271 in the Top 9, both representing FK Rinaldi Kawasaki.
“It was a very close championship, with ups and downs. It was my first year with the team, and we’re getting things sorted out and adapting so we can achieve better results in 2027! I’m happy with the Top 5 because it’s a very strong category and because I was coming back from an injury”, says Santa Catarina native Kauã.
Galdino, a rider from Indaiatuba, São Paulo, says that his progress was important as he looks ahead to the next championship: “I was happy with the result – finishing among the top nine out of 44 highly competitive riders. It was difficult because there were some very good riders. I want to thank the team and the sponsors, and now we’re going all out for next season.”
The magnitude of the championship
The season also marked an increasingly strong presence of new talents representing Rinaldi, helping expand the brand’s presence in the championship. The year 2026 reinforced the importance of the work carried out with riders and teams and sums up Team Rinaldi’s trajectory in the championship.
“The season ends with a great deal of pride for Rinaldi because the championship is also an environment of constant evolution. We celebrate Roosevelt’s fourth MX4 championship, the result of talent, dedication and teamwork”, says Jana Brun Nalin, Head of Marketing at Rinaldi. “Our commitment goes beyond the track: we also support up-and-coming riders because we believe in developing the next generations. Growing together with the sport, the teams, the riders and our market is part of who we are”, she adds.
At all nine rounds, held across seven states from northern to southern Brazil, the Bento Gonçalves-based tire manufacturer from Rio Grande do Sul provided customers and guests with a distinctive experience in its VIP area. “Being close to our customers at every round is equally important — that’s when we strengthen relationships, listen to the market and build a brand that is increasingly close to those who live and breathe Motocross”, Jana concludes.
With the conclusion of Latin America’s largest championship, already considered the second-largest Motocross championship in the world, Team Rinaldi is already looking ahead to its next challenges, maintaining its focus on product development, rider support and the pursuit of new national titles.
